Detailed guidelines on our refund process and order cancellation procedures

At Dorea Bites, we are committed to delivering fresh, homemade, nutritious meals tailored for your beloved pets. Since every meal is freshly prepared to order, we follow a strict refund and cancellation policy to ensure fairness and transparency while also maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.

1. Order Cancellations

  • Same-Day Orders:
    Once an order is placed for same-day delivery, it cannot be canceled, as the meals are immediately prepared fresh for your pet.

  • Scheduled Orders (Next-Day or Subscription):

    • Cancellation requests must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery.

    • Cancellations made within the 24-hour window will not be eligible for refund as the preparation process would already be underway.

2. Refunds

Since we provide fresh, perishable pet meals, refunds are processed only under the following circumstances:

  • Wrong Item Delivered:
    If you receive an item different from what was ordered, we will issue a replacement at no additional cost or provide a full refund.

  • Damaged or Spoiled Meals:
    If the food package is delivered in a damaged condition or spoiled due to our error, you must inform us within 2 hours of delivery with photographic proof. We will replace the meal or issue a full refund.

  • Delivery Failures:
    If we are unable to deliver your order due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., operational issues, delivery restrictions, or internal errors), you will receive a full refund.

  • Refund Method:
    Refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method. In case of Cash on Delivery, a UPI/bank account transfer will be initiated.

3. Subscription Cancellations & Refunds

We encourage our pet parents to subscribe for weekly or monthly meal plans. However:

  • Weekly Plans:

    • Cancellations must be requested 48 hours before the start date.

    • Once the subscription period starts, unused meals will not be refunded, but you may reschedule deliveries within the week (subject to availability).

  • Monthly Plans:

    • Cancellations requested before the subscription starts are eligible for a 90% refund (10% retained as processing & planning fee).

    • Once the plan has started, no refunds will be provided, but you may pause or reschedule meals for up to 15 days within the subscription cycle.

4. Special Diet / Custom Orders

Custom meals prepared for pets with specific health conditions (kidney diets, obesity management, etc.) are made exclusively for your pet.

  • Such orders are non-cancellable and non-refundable, except in cases of proven delivery errors or quality issues from our side.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

  • Change of mind after placing an order.

  • Pet refusing to eat the meal (since taste preferences vary, we encourage trial packs first).

  • Incorrect address or contact details provided by the customer.

  • Delays caused due to uncontrollable circumstances (e.g., traffic, weather conditions, natural calamities).

6. Trial Pack Policy

  • We offer a 2-day trial pack for selected pet parents (limited slots).

  • Trial packs are free of charge but subject to selection criteria (pet’s age, weight, health condition).

  • Once delivered, trial packs cannot be canceled or exchanged.
